Schöffling & Co.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Schöffling & Co. is a publishing house based in Frankfurt, Germany.[1]

History

[edit]

The company was founded in Frankfurt in 1994 by Klaus Schöffling [de] and his wife Ida Schöffling after a financier forced them out of their previous publishing house, Frankfurter Verlagsanstalt [de], which they founded in 1987. Several of their published authors urged them to start a new company.[2]

Among the authors published by Schöffling & Co. are Eva Demski [de], Mirko Bonné, Franziska Gerstenberg [de], Silke Scheuermann, Burkhard Spinnen, Klaus Modick, Jochen Schimmang [de], Juli Zeh, Markus Orths [de], Guntram Vesper [de] and Ror Wolf.[2]

The Swiss publishing house Kampa Verlag [de] acquired Schöffling & Co. in 2021.[3]
