In 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump declared the intention for the United States to occupy the Gaza Strip. He has expressed his vision to develop the war-torn territory into the "Riviera of the Middle East".[1] The proposal will require the removal of thousands of Palestinians to neighboring lands, which critics have identified as a form of ethnic cleansing.[2] When asked how the territory will be acquired, Trump claimed the U.S. will "take it".[3]
