Proposed content from Jonathanhopkins (talk) 23:12, 31 May 2008 (UTC) - TIML Radio (UK)

[edit]

Hi there, I've created the following draft page User:Jonathanhopkins/Draft_TIML_Radio_(UK)_page and would like to add it to the main Wikipedia directory. Having followed the guidelines for the submission of new companies to Wikipedia Wikipedia:Business'_FAQ, I'm hoping that I can get some feedback from the Wikipedia community and my suggestion for the proposed new page is a valid one. Thanks in advance for your help. Jonathanhopkins (talk) 23:12, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I think you might want to list the two related WikiProjects Wikipedia:WikiProject Radio and Wikipedia:WikiProject Radio stations, somewhere on the portal. Badbilltucker 16:28, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is also WikiProject Electrical engineering. XOttawahitech (talk) 16:10, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Message from a Davidpk212 who is trying not to try like an overproud newbie

[edit]

Thanks for working on my* portal guys. The Radio Project is a great idea, and I'm happy for the way this portal is going. The only thing I have to complain is that we're putting rather too much an emphsasis on American radio.... although before the emphasis was on british radio, I attempted to strike a balance when I created the portal. *For brevity, when I say "my" I mean "our," simply 'cause I created the portal. I do not own it. We all own it together, as one big WikiFamily. Davidpk212 18:23, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's probably best if content is planned here then in order to have it be more balanced. By the way, in the next week or two, I'm going to look into creating archives of the different fields and of expanding content. Unfortunately, I've just been concentrating on other things at the moment. --PhantomS 19:21, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed content for week of 12/31

FYI Rothammel is an AfD

[edit]

My sense is it should not be, but requires, perhaps, someone from this portal to flush out what is happening. I'll help as I can throughout the AfD. Kind Regards, Keesiewonder 11:25, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Selected boxes

[edit]

All of the boxes marked as selected will now randomly rotate between entries. In addition, archives for these boxes are available. --PhantomS 01:37, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Incidentally, I added the category and list boxes, which will need to be filled. I also removed the news box, until a ready source of radio news can be found. --PhantomS 01:41, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New Category: Help!

[edit]

Greetings all: My primary interest is in learning foreign langauges, and having access to web-casting radio stations in other languages is invaluable. I want to create a new family of categories: Webcasting radio stations by language. Basically, I would like to compile lists of all stations broadcasting on the web in Dutch, in German, in English, whatever. I am pushing the full discussion on Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Radio_Stations#New_Category:_Help.21 If you're intersted in discussing the idea before I create the category, or help in categorising, come on over! Thanks much! samwaltz 15:47, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Radio topic deletion

[edit]

Anyone with an interest come to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of most-listened-to radio programs and express your opinion. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 21:45, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Years in radio

[edit]

I have extended category:Years in radio back to 1919 (also 1906 & 1912); formerly only back to 1980. It mainly included “Radio stations by year of establishment” also “Radio program debuts” and “Radio stations by year of disestablishment”. There may be other articles which could be included (the invention of the transistor – or triode?) Hugo999 (talk) 22:36, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I am a person from Germany. Possibly somebody can look on the discussion of the article: Audio theatre, because you have made statement in the past. with friendly greetings, Soenke --Soenke Rahn (talk) 23:10, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Audio theatre an article to audio dramas

[edit]

Please if somebody will have the time and knows anything to it, please look on the article Audio theatre, somebody placed a erase discussion on it. after we have had a merge discussion. It would be interesting what anybody would say to the merge and the delete discussion. And possibly it could help to contact other people that they should help also. )-: Merry Xmas --Soenke Rahn (talk) 07:37, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notice from the Portals WikiProject

[edit]

WikiProject Portals is back!

The project was rebooted and completely overhauled on April 17th, 2018. Its goals are to revitalize the entire portal system, make building and maintaining portals easier, support the ongoing improvement of portals and the editors dedicated to this, and design the portals of the future.

As of May 2nd, 2018, membership is at 60 editors, and growing. You are welcome to join us.

There are design initiatives for revitalizing the portals system as a whole, and for improving each component of portals. So far, 2 new dynamic components have been developed: Template:Transclude lead excerpt and Template:Transclude random excerpt.

Tools are provided for building and maintaining portals, including automated portals that update themselves in various ways.

And, if you are bored and would like something to occupy your mind, we have a wonderful task list.

From your friendly neighborhood Portals WikiProject. Hope to see you there. Sincerely,    — The Transhumanist   07:43, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Property proposal for ITU radio emission designation on Wikidata

[edit]

Hey, i wanted to pring this d:Wikidata:Property proposal/Authority control#ITU radio emission designation to your attention. Lots of standardized radio transmission modes and even basic modulation types are lacking Wikidata statements to an internationally agreed system for classifying radio frequency signals such as the ITU designation. I would be happy about your opinions and support on Wikidata. Thanks! --Ptolusque (talk) 17:34, 23 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Add some things

[edit]

It would be neat if someone could add Rush Limbaugh and Larry King to the People Section. Also in terms of Related portals, I think Portal:Music and Portal:Journalism should be there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.250.85.238 (talk) 02:19, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
