Westview High School is a secondary school located in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. The principal is Thomas Lee.[3] The mascot is the Wolverine.

History

The creation of a new high school at the intersection of 156th and Ida streets in Northwest Omaha was added as a part of the Phase 2 Bond issue, approved by Omaha Public Schools voters in 2018.[4] Westview was completed in May 2022 and opened later in the year, serving grades nine through ten. Westview phased in all four grades starting with the 2024-2025 school year.[5]

Westview partially shares facilities with a YMCA, including a pool and exercise rooms.

A female wrestler from Westview made finals for the Nebraska State Wrestling Tournament in 2023.[6][7]

Dance Team

Westview and Burke High School's joint dance team placed 13th in the nation in the medium poms[clarification needed] in 2023, competing against a field of 90 teams from all around the United States.[8]
