Early life

[edit]

Hardy was born in 2005 and is from South Croydon.[3] She is the child of an English father and a Chinese mother who moved to England in her 20s.[4] Hardy is classically trained and took up violin and singing lessons at a young age as well as participating in talent shows at school. She stresses the role of her parents, and specifically her mother, in instilling a love of music in her.[5] She learnt violin through the Japanese Suzuki method. [6]
