Nemesis: Rogues' Gallery (also written Nemesis: Rogues Gallery and Nemesis: Rogue's Gallery) is a British five-issue comic book limited series written by Mark Millar and drawn by Valerio Giangiordano. Published by Dark Horse Comics and set in the Millarworld,[2] the series is a continuation of Nemesis: Reloaded and Big Game,[3] following supervillain Matthew Anderson / Nemesis, who after recovering from being beaten to a pulp by the superhero team the Ambassadors, escapes from hospital to take on a protégé, Rookie, and regain his power.[4]
Published from July 24, 2024 to January 8, 2025,[5] and to be published as an omnibus in May 2025,[6] the series will be followed by Nemesis: Forever in late 2025/early 2026.[7]
Premise
[edit]Following the events of Big Game, the death of his mentor Wesley Gibson, and himself being beaten to a pulp by superheroes and imprisoned in hospital, Nemesis escapes to take on a protégé, serial killer Pedro Hernandez, as "Rookie", and regain his power, opposed by four fathers of people slaughtered by him, who get together with the Fraternity's super-tech technology (provided by Nemesis' original Rookie) in an attempt to take him down,[8][9][10][11] while Nemesis enacts a heist on "Epstein's other island".[12][13][14]
Development
[edit]Following the release of the Millarworld crossover miniseries Big Game,[15] in December 2023, Millar announced the Millarworld catalogue had been moved from Image Comics to Dark Horse Comics, who would publish an omnibus of the first two volumes of Nemesis (Nemesis and Nemesis: Reloaded),[6] as well as a third volume, Nemesis: Rogues' Gallery, to be illustrated by Valerio Giangiordano.[2][16]
