Lisar (Persian: ليسار)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Kargan Rud District of Talesh County, Gilan province, Iran. It also serves as the administrative center for Lisar Rural District.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 2,599 in 679 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 3,262 people in 951 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 3,647 people in 1,163 households.[2]
