Liam Chad Jacobs (born 3 March 2001) is a South African politician and a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Democratic Alliance (DA). He has also been the leader of the Democratic Alliance Students Organisation (DASO) since October 2022.[1] He was elected to the National Assembly of South Africa for Gauteng in the 2024 South African general election.

Early life

Jacobs was born in Kimberley of the Northern Cape.[1] Jacobs holds an honours degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Pretoria.[2]

Career

Jacobs was Students’ Organisation Leader for the DA.[3] In the 2024 South African general election, he was 60th on the national party list.[4] He currently serves on the Portfolio Committee on Sports, Arts, and Culture.
