Laetesia distincta is a species of sheet weaver found in New Zealand.[1] It was described by Millidge in 1988.[1]
Taxonomy
[edit]This species was described in 1988 by Alfred Frank Millidge from a female specimen.[2] The holotype is stored in the New Zealand Arthropod Collection under registration number NZAC03014978.[3]
Description
[edit]The female is recorded at 1.55-1.65mm in length. This species has a pale yellow carapace with grey margins laterally. The legs are pale yellow to white. The abdomen is black dorsally with a white chevron pattern.[2]
Distribution
[edit]This species is only known from the North Island of New Zealand.
Conservation status
[edit]Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Not Threatened".[4]
