Karaftu Rural District (Persian: دهستان كرفتو)[3] is in the Central District of Takab County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4] Its capital is the village of Qujeh.[5]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 4,586 in 891 households.[6] There were 3,792 inhabitants in 832 households at the following census of 2011.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 3,205 in 885 households. The most populous of its 20 villages was Chap Darreh, with 623 people.[2]
