The Kalinga Hockey Stadium is a field hockey stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. It is India's first Olympic standard pink and blue water-based AstroTurf.[2]

History

The city of Bhubaneswar has been termed as the 'Sports Capital of India' for hosting a large number as well as a wide variety of sporting events and nurturing future talents.[3][4][5] As per a 2021 survey, Bhubaneswar was ranked 3rd among top 5 cities of India in terms of sports ecosystem and ability to host mega sporting events.[6]

The stadium had been chosen as a venue for the several Men's FIH Pro League and Women's FIH Pro League. It has also hosted Men's FIH Hockey World Cup
