Jaydasht (Persian: جايدشت)[a] is a village in, and the former capital of, Jaydasht Rural District[4] in Jaydasht District of Firuzabad County, Fars province, Iran, serving as capital of the district. The capital of the rural district has been transferred to the village of Rudbal.[5]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 6,389 in 1,294 households, when it was in the Central District.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 6,721 people in 1,630 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 5,524 people in 1,780 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]

In 2024, the rural district was separated from the district in the establishment of Jaydasht District.[5]
