Eliud Owalo

Eliud Owalo is a Kenyan politician who has served as Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication & Digital Economy in the Cabinet of Kenya since 2022. He was fired from office by the president of the republic of Kenya on 7th of July 2024.[1][2]

Early life and education

Owalo hails from Rarieda Constituency in Siaya County.[3] He is grandson of the founder of the Nomiya Church Johana Owalo.[4][5]

Owalo graduated from the University of Nairobi and Kenyatta University.[5]

Career

Owalo was the campaign manager for Raila Odinga in the 2013 Kenyan general election.[5]
