Water Wars is a 2014 American film that was the last movie from famed director Cirio H. Santiago. Santiago fell ill and died during filming in 2008 and was replaced by Jim Wynorski; the movie took a number of years to be released.[1][2][3] The movie was one of a number of postapocalpytic films made by Santiago.[4][5] It used elements and footage from earlier Santiago films such as Stryker and Wheels of Fire.[6]
The movie was made for Roger Corman's New Horizons. It was shot in the Philippines in 2008.[7] Michael Madsen took the role in part due to a recommendation from Quentin Tarantino that the actor work with Santiago.[8]
The film was also known as Road Raiders.[9]
