Submission declined on 11 February 2025 by Robert McClenon (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. The proposed article does not have sufficient content to require an article of its own, but it could be merged into the existing article at Sidemen. Since anyone can edit Wikipedia, you are welcome to add that information yourself. Thank you.

Comment: This draft is a draft on a subtopic of an existing article, Sidemen. Discussion as to whether a separate article for the subtopic is warranted should be on the talk page of the parent article, Talk:Sidemen. Please discuss the suitability of creating a separate subtopic article on the talk page of the parent article. Please resubmit this draft if there is rough consensus at the parent talk page to create the child article, or with an explanation that the child draft satisfies either general notability on its own or a special notability guide. The topic of this draft, W2S, has a long history of creation and deletion, and is a locked redirect to Sidemen. In view of this history, there should be discussion at Talk:Sidemen about the appropriateness of creating an article that is likely to be nominated for deletion again, and so about the appropriateness of making a request at Requests for Unprotection to unlock the locked redirect. Please discuss at Talk:Sidemen. Robert McClenon (talk) 01:57, 11 February 2025 (UTC)

[edit]In August 2015, all of the Sidemen members except Olatunji and Barn participated in the 2015 Wembley Cup football charity match, facing Spencer FC, with Minter captaining the Sidemen United team. The match ended with Spencer FC beating Sidemen United by five goals to two.[15]

Lewis has participated in the Sidemen Charity Match as a member of the Sidemen, which has raised funds for charities including the Teenage Cancer Trust and CALM.[16][17] The Sidemen Charity Match is a recurring football friendly match run by the Sidemen to raise money for various charitable causes. They have been held since 2016, barring a four-year hiatus between the third and fourth matches, while the upcoming sixth match is being held eighteen months after the fifth. In all matches so far, the group's seven members and various affiliated YouTubers competed as the Sidemen Football Club, while various other YouTubers competed as the YouTube Allstars. The first match, on 3 June 2016, was held at St Mary's Stadium, Southampton, raising over £110,000 for the Saints Foundation.[18][19] The 2025 Sidemen Charity Match will take place at Wembley Stadium.[20]
In March 2020, the Sidemen released a twenty-minute YouTube video titled "#StayHome". The video featured the Sidemen and more than one hundred other YouTube video creators and other celebrities raising awareness of the UK's "stay at home" campaign which aimed to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the UK.[21][22] All of the advertising revenue generated from the video was donated to the NHS.[23]
