Submission declined on 2 August 2024 by DoubleGrazing (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia. This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies. Declined by DoubleGrazing 2 months ago. |

- Comment: Seconding what DoubleGrazing writes. Where is the disinterested commentary on Shavrina's work (or on her) made by curators, art historians, art critics, or art journalists?"The UNITED REGISTER of the PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS of the Russian Empire, the USSR, Russian emigration, Russian Federation and the republics of former Soviet Union (XVIII–XXI centuries)", Feb, 2020" is a vast list. Her inclusion in it seems to be of little or no significance. But I'm open-minded and willing to be proven wrong: Where is the commentary by curators, art historians, art critics, or art journalists on her inclusion in the "register"? Hoary (talk) 02:47, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: There isn't any sign of notability here. None of the sources contribute towards WP:GNG, being a mix of interviews and other primary sources, sales channels, and churnalism. And I don't see anything in the draft that would suggest WP:ARTIST notability, either. DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:30, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: The advice was to attach a reference after each statement, not before. DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:09, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: The entire article is unsourced prior to the publications section. See also WP:COI. Greenman (talk) 09:33, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Please attach a reference immediately after each assertion or set of assertions. Hoary (talk) 08:28, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
