Spider-Man 4: Fan Film (stylized as Spider-Man 4) is an upcoming American superhero fan film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. Produced by High Mountain Studios and Marvel Fan Film, it is a continuation of Sam Raimi's original Spider-Man trilogy and the sequel to Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man 3 (2007) which was directed by Erik Franklin from a screenplay by Bryn Clayton Jones and William McCarthy and stars Bryn Clayton Jones as Peter Parker / Spider-Man alongside with Leona Britt as Mary Jane Watson, Brandon Melo as Harry Osborn, Bill Read Jr. as Dr. Curt Connors, Eric Manix as Adrian Toomes / The Vulture, Ed Edica as Wilson Fisk / Kingpin, Erik Franklin as Alistair Smythe, Mandi Huffman as Felicia Hardy / Black Cat, Tommy Driver as Robbie Robertson, Alice Bridgforth as May Parker and Danny Malo as J. Jonah Jameson.
The film is not associated with Marvel Studios nor Sony Pictures and was funded by fans through an Kickstarter campaign.[1]
Production
[edit]It was announced sometime after the cancelation of Spider-Man 4 by Sony Pictures Entertainment that the development of an continuation for Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy was underway by a small studio in Seattle, Washington called High Mountain Studios.[2] The film was funded by fans through a campaign on Kickstarter. According to co-writer and costume designer Harley Pettus and co-writer and actor Bryn Clayton Jones, it was an decision to make the film themselves by providing in the leaked plot details of the unused fourth installment.[3]
