Soma Howard (born July 20, 1999) is an Japanese submission grappler and blue belt Brazilian jiu-jitsu athlete.

Early life

In April 2018, Soma Howard began Krav Maga at the age of 18 at ARMS GYM. 2 monthes later, He also began Kickboxing at MARS GYM. But same year, he quited martial arts at the age of 19 because of Retinal detachment. After a one-year hiatus, he returned to MARS GYM and began Submission grappling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu at the age of 20.

Career

On August 25, 2019, G-FIGHT biginner tournament lightweight champion.

On October 16, 2021, SJJJF ALL JAPAN Jiu-Jitsu championship adult white roosterweight champion.

On March 26, 2022, he fought their first professional brazilian jiu-jitsu fights under the ART.[1]

On April 30, 2022, JBJJF ALL JAPAN No-Gi open tournament adult advance roosterweight champion.[2]

On June 5, 2022, he fought their first professional submission grappling fights under the Shooto.[3]

On July 17, 2022, SJJJF ALL JAPAN Jiu-Jitsu championship adult blue roosterweight champion.

On February 26, 2023, UNRIVALED2.[4]

On December 10, 2023, GRACHAN Hokkaido.[5]
