Snappy Driver Installer Origin (also known as SDIO) is an open source driver installation tool for computers running Microsoft Windows, developed by Glenn Delahoy.[1] It is a fork of Snappy Driver Installer[2].

Snappy Driver Installer Origin automatically checks the vendor and device ID of each device and finds compatible drivers. SDIO offers a community based grading system for drivers that lets users rank drivers based on stability, which will then be displayed on the driver option, and the software automatically suggests the best ranked driver available or offer a list of all drivers available. The user can then select the driver version to install and the software will automatically download and install the driver. [3]

SDIO offers an offline mode, where you can download the compete driver database (or parts of it) in order to use it on computers that do not have an internet connection.[4]
