Simon Kölle is a well-established figure in the Swedish film industry, recognized for his dual talents as a film composer and Film Producer. He is the creator of the Filmbranschpodden, a popular podcast that delves into the intricacies of the film world. In addition to his podcasting work, Simon teaches at Linnaeus University and frequently guest lectures at Stockholm University. Born on 27th march, 1977, in Stockholm, Sweden, Kölle has garnered acclaim for his contributions to various creative fields.
Simon came to love stories at an early age. Fascinated by fantasy and roleplaying games Simon grew up
in the roleplaying Community. Following several years as a Playwright and Theatre Director Simon became
heavily involved in music. Some 10+ albums later (Za Frûmi, Musterion, Abnocto), having run a record and distribution label for one decade and with studies in Writing,
Film Music, Dramaturgy, Theatre and Film Science under his belt Simon shifted his focus to Film Music working both in the Nordics and in Hollywood.
He's received accolades from the likes of Ennio Morricone, Oliver Stone, John Malkovich and Steven Seagal, won more than 50 international awards as Composer and Film Producer and
been nominated at festivals from London to Hollywood and beyond. In 2013 Simon started to produce film projects and has produced several features which have been seen all over the world.
Today Simon works as a Composer and Film Producer. He is also an accomplished writer with some 25 years of professional experience.
He founded the production company Tulpa Creatives together with director and script writer Richard Jarnhed in 2019.
Simon's career in the arts is also marked by his literary contributions in journalism, Interactive Theatre, LARP, author of "Mixed Martial Arts: Myter, Fakta, Möten" and as a playwright.

Early Life and education:[edit]
Simon came to love stories at an early age. Fascinated by fantasy and roleplaying games Simon grew up mainly in Rissne in Sundbyberg and his three brother are all well known in their respective fields:
his younger brother Love Kölle is an author of several novels in the genres such as of pulp, Sci-fi, horror and fantasy.
Simon's elder brothers Pierre Jonsson was for more than 15 years the face of Svenska Spel and Nicolas Köllerstedt
is a succesfull business man and has over twenty years of experience in sales, strategic account management, and sales leadership.
Simon went to High School at Stockholms estetiska gymnasium with the focus on Theatre.
After High School Simon studied at Stockholm University and more.
Career[edit]
At High School Simon wrote his first play "Ögonen min trädgård" which Simon also directed and it
went on a small tour in Sweden. Simon then went on to be the Artistic Leader and one of the founders of Teater 418.
After a years of studying and working with theatre Simon became a composer.
Film Producer: In addition to his work as a composer, Kölle has also taken on the role of film producer with the focus sometimes on being an Executive Producer and sometimes
not. He has been involved in the production of various films, contributing to both the creative and logistical aspects of filmmaking.
He's one of the founders of film production company Tulpa Creatives and CEO of the company.

Musician: As a musician, Simon Kölle has performed and recorded with different bands and musical projects such as Za Frûmi, Abnocto, Musterion, Clues of Reality. His versatility as a performer and his ability to play multiple instruments have made him a valuable collaborator in the music industry.

Writing and Journalism: As a writer Simon is mostly known for his work within the MMA community having been the editor in chief and co owner of the bigest Swedish MMA websites.
He also written several reports, written more than 5000 articles and the first Swedish book "Mixed Martial Arts: Myter, Fakta, Möten" (sold out) about the history of MMA.
Simon has written stories and texts for more than 60 LARP events, 6 theater plays and Written articles such as “How do you become the teapot?” for Masaryk University, Czech Republic.
He's been a co-host for Fighterpodden (around 100 episodes), MMA Panelen, host for the podcast Musik i Film and since 2023 the host for Filmbranschpodden.
Simon has also been a moderator and host for several panels and shows.
Simon has been commentating MMA events such as Superior Challenge, Vision and IRFA.
Sports commentator for various TV stations such as Swedish TV4, Swedish TV4Sport, Swedish TV10, Viasat, Swedish TV12, Eurosport, Fite TV etc. And several PPV and streaming services.
Lecturer and speaker: Simon's a returning guest lecturer at Stockholm Uninversity (Film Music at the Music science institution), a teacher at Linneus University, HEMA, Fencing, Music and Film.

Mother Psychologist Ylva Kölle and father Hans born in Germany (Lauenburg) came to Sweden at the age of 12.
