Shivani Raja is a British Conservative politician and Member of Parliament for Leicester East since 2024.

Personal life

Born in Leicester, Raja studied at Herrick Primary School, Soar Valley College, Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth I College (WQE), and graduated with First Class Honours in Cosmetic Science from De Montfort University (DMU).[1]

Political career

She was elected as Member of Parliament (MP) for Leicester East in 2024, the party's only gain in the general election.[2] It was the first time in almost 40 years the seat was not represented by a member of the Labour Party.[3]
