Shamkir Professional Football Club (Azerbaijani: Şəmkir Peşəkar Futbol Klubu), is an Azerbaijani football club based in Shamkir, that currently plays in the Azerbaijan Second League.

History

The club was established in 2013 as Gala Shamkir Football Club and played in Azerbaijan Regional League..^[1]. "Gala" is meaning fortress in Azerbaijani language. In 2023 the team were promoted to the Azerbaijan Second League and renamed as Shamkir Professional Football Club.^[2] This club is not successor of Shamkir FC which was dissolved in 2017.
