SanMinor born on December 20, 1992, as Alexander Ilyich Didenko^[1] (Russian: Александр Ильич Диденко) is a Russian hip-hop artist, lyricist, and producer known for his introspective lyrics and dedication to the underground rap scene. His music focuses on themes such as love, life, societal issues, and personal reflections, blending deep metaphors with atmospheric beats.

Biography

Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Alexander Didenko, better known by his stage name SanMinor, began his journey in music during his school years. Influenced by Russian hip-hop groups like Многоточие and Centr, as well as global rap legends including 2Pac and DMX, he was inspired to create his own tracks. In 2014, he adopted the pseudonym "SanMinor"^[2] and dedicated himself to music as a form of self-expression and social commentary. He deliberately chose the underground scene, valuing sincerity and lyrical depth over commercial success.

Musical Career

Debut and Early Releases(2014–2015)

In November 2014, SanMinor began working on his debut EP album «Ночь Декабря»^[3] (Night of December) a deeply personal project capturing his inner reflections and experiences. The recording of the first track took place at the Sverdlovsk Academic Drama Theatre in February 2015.

Breakthrough (2016–2019)

In 2016, SanMinor released the single «Мадам» (Madame), featuring vocalist Lyuba Yamskaya, a prominent singer from Yekaterinburg. The track gained popularity, and a music video was released the same year. This marked a pivotal moment in his career. During this period, SanMinor also began producing his own beats and released 12 singles between 2016 and 2019.

Further Success (2020–2022)

In 2020, SanMinor released his second EP album «Шаг Вперед»^[4] (Step Forward) along with the single «In The Air Tonight» and an accompanying music video. The following year, he released the remix «Корабли твои мечты» (Your Dream Ships) and the disco-inspired single «Жара (Disco Remix)» (Heat). His third EP album «Изоляция»^[5] (Isolation), released in late 2021, explored themes such as life, death, societal digitalization, isolation, and social issues.

In the summer of 2022, he released Remix «Жара 2022» (Heat 2022) followed by the politically charged single «Вакцинация» (Vaccination) in October.

Recent Projects (2023–2025)

In 2023, SanMinor began work on a new album and released the single «Быть человеком» (Being Human). Later that year, he released a remix album titled «The Remix»^[6] and one more single «Война против бога» (War against God).

January 2024 saw the release of his fourth EP album «Дивный Новый Мир»^[7] (Brave New World), an experimental project incorporating various musical genres and melancholic melodies, reflecting dystopian themes. He followed it with the singles «Рэп про Любовь» Rap About Love), «АнтиМир» (AntiWorld), and «Вне Игры» (Out of the Game).

In January 2025, SanMinor released his latest single «Наташа»^[8] (Natasha), a heartfelt track about love, continuing his exploration of lyrical storytelling and emotional expression.
