Introduction
[edit]Saint Emilie Learning Center (SELC) is a Catholic private institution founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Apparition based off the Saint Émilie de Vialar [1] in 18 Balangkal, Amparo Village, Metro Manila in the Philippines, [2] It was formed by the Missionaries of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Apparition [3] from Mainland Southeast Asia and some from Europe. Most of the personnel at the time were the SJA Missionaries.
History
[edit]Saint Emilie Learning Center was founded in the year 2006 as a Catholic private school in 18 Bangkal St. Amparo Village, Metro Manila. Missionaries from the SJA group came and established it. When it was built, it had only gathered 14 pupils at the time. Over time, the school experienced growth, enrolling approximately 46 pupils during the 2008–2009 academic year. The school still remains active and has undergone significant improvements over time. The SJA sisters are from Mainland Southeast Asia, Europe, and here in the Philippines.
Ideology
[edit]The Ideology of Saint Emilie Learning Center is Roman Catholic, since SJA Missionaries are affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. [4]including their founder, Sr. Dorothy Vella-zarb.
