Phonetic Digital Alphabet Phandala, is a phonetic language which is mainly used in Nordic and Scandinavia countries
Specially in the (Hello Princess) Book Series
A sum of phonetic users find phandala easier to manage than other systems. One reason may include that the form for this Phonetic alphabet is quite unusual but still is somewhat coherent with the Romantic Latin form of letters.
Phonetics: Like many other phonetic alphabets such as International Phonetic Alphabet and Pinyin, the goal is to show the user how each sound in a letter/word is pronounced. As wisdom accumulates, we may discover that more common and widely used languages tend to often then not deviate from the original post that was given to them by symbols, letters and shapes. E.g. In French, the word "water eau" is pronounced (Ū).
Digital: The Digital in Phandala, The Phonetic Digital Alphabet refers to the Seven-segment display. Which is most commonly found on Calculator, Microwave, and Digital clock. Phandala takes it a step further with the extra line at the top. Which was first conceived as an aid to tonal languages, But when it comes to vowels, it escalated to an aid to distinguish which sound is which.
Alphabet: The Alphabet of Phandala consists of 26 Consonants and 7 pure Vowels. Ï (ih) Ē(eh) Ā(ah)Ö (er) Ō(aw) Ü(ue) Ū(oo) And one controversial diphthong ī (ee) .ī is thought to be a combination of Ï and Y.Reason being that both Ï and Y sounds are really short. Too short. So combining them with other letters makes them easier to pronounce. Ergo blending those specific two letters together makes the ī. Which is a really common sound in many languages. This may be why Y is often associated with the ī Diphthong in many languages, However, ī is used so frequently that it was considered important enough to be included in the alphabetic canon.
