Petros Petrosyan (born , 196 ) is an Armenian-American freestyle wrestler and coach. Petosyan was a nine-time Armenian national champion, and a ten-U.S. Open champion. He is also a three-time USS Masters/Veterans World Freestyle Champion. He has also placed in many of UWW Masters/Veterans World Wrestling Championships. Petrosyan is one of the longest-competing Aremenian-American wrestlers alive today. He is the Head Coach of Orange County Grappling and Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach, California. Petrosyan has won more gold medals in Freestyle wrestling medals than any other American. Petrosyan is known for his high number of pins and being one of the best feet-to-back freestyle wrestlers ever and is considered one of the greatest freestyle coaches in North America.

Teen Years (13 - 18 years)

Petrosyan wrestled at in Vanadzor, Armenia. His wrestling club was called . While in his club/teen year he had a record, and was a -time Armenian national champion. Petrosyan played soccer before his dad decided he should wrestle.

Senior level & Injury

Beginning in his late teen years, Petrosyan competed internationally in freestyle wrestling. Highlights of his career include four UWW World gold medals.. At the Senior level, his international freestyle wrestling record was – . A knee injury requiring surgery sustained in practice wrestling with an Armenian heavy weight wrestler while a Senior sidelined him from 1980 - 1985, due to its severity.

Petrosyan has a PhD in Coaching, from Moscow University earned in 1980.
