Olanrewaju Ogungbe, also known as Lanre Ogungbe is a Nigerian entrepreneur. He is the CEO and Co-founder of Prembly.[1][2][3][4] A start-up focused on Identity verification in emerging markets, which has also raised over $3M[5].[6]

Education and Career

Born in Nigeria, Lanre Ogungbe obtained his MBA degree from Johns Hopkins Carey Business Schhool.[7][8] [9]Prior to starting the company in 2021[10], he worked as the head of business and client services in Accounteer[11] and was also the COO of Mypadi[12]. He has worked as an advisor at Johns Hopkins Technology Venture as well.[12] Lanre holds a bachelor's degree in computer science and education from Adekunle Ajasin University[13][12].

Recognition and Awards

Lanre's company has been recognised by Poets and Quants as one of the most disruptive MBA startups in 2023.[14] He was also recognised in 2023 by Technext as one of the 5 African founders to watch out for in 2023.[15] Lanre also led Prembly to winning the Fastest Growing KYC & Verification Company Award during the 2022 NBLA Awards organised by BusinessDay.[16]
