Nice People at Work (NPAW) is a global provider of business intelligence and analytic solutions designed to enhance the quality of experience for online media companies.[1] The primary industry NPAW serves is big data & video intelligence, catering mainly to streaming platforms, media companies, and telecommunications providers.[2][3][4][5] NPAW's solutions are utilized by over 190 online media customers globally, processing more than 150 billion video plays annually.[4] NPAW is headquartered in Barcelona, Spain with offices in New York and Darmstadt, Germany.[6][7][8]
History
[edit]The company was founded in 2008 by Sergi Vergés and Ferran G. Vilaró, the co-founders of Wuaki TV, a streaming service acquired by Rakuten in 2012.[9][10]
In 2013, the company shifted its focus its analytics and began developing it's Analytics Quality-of-Service/Quality of Experience (QoS/QoE) platform, YOUBORA[10][11]
in 2018, NPAW released the YOUBORA Suite, a video analytics platform designed to provide insights into video performance and user behavior.[6][11]
In April 2020, Suma Capital became a shareholder in the company to support international growth.[12][13][8]
In 2022, NPAW became a founding member of the CDN Alliance, a nonprofit industry group focused on content delivery networks.[14]
Technology and Products
[edit]NPAW Suite: A video analytics platform providing performance data across multiple platforms, measuring metrics such as buffering, video quality, and user engagement..[6]
YOUBORA Mobile App:A mobile application extending NPAW’s video analytics platform for real-time performance monitoring.[15][16]
Publisher Analytics: A tool for content performance analysis and editorial optimization, including A/B testing and real-time tracking of engagement metrics..[17][18]
Author Tracking: Launched in 2024 as part of the Publisher Analytics suite this tool monitors editorial content performance by author tracking metrics like total clicks, quality clicks and scroll depth.: Total navigations, Total Clicks, Quality clicks, Low quality clicks, Average scroll depth, Average navigation time.[19][20][21]
App Analytics: A tool combining app diagnostics with video analytics, to monitor technical issues such as app crashes, login failures, and user interface problems.[22][23][24][23]
CDN Balancer: A system to for distributing content delivery network(CDN) traffic. [25][26]
NaLa: An AI-powered tool for data analysis and issue resolution within the NPAW Suite, capable of processing large datasets to support streaming service optimization.[27][28][29][30][31]

NPAW is a member of industry associations such as The International Trade Association for the Broadcast and Media Industry, Streaming Video Technology Alliance and the Digital Production Partnership.
