Mriksah (also known by a variety of other spellings: Mixan, Mixam, Mexam, Mixanno, Meika, Maxanno, Meaksaw and Mishammo) was sachem of the Narragansett from 1647 to 1657. His father was Canonicus, who abdicated as chief before his death, but previously appointed his nephew Miantonomo as his successor. The latter was murdered by hostile Mohegan in 1643, so Canonicus was reinstated as chief. Eventually Mriksah took over the dignity of sachem and his tribe experienced a period of peace with the English settlers. He was married to Quaiapen, the sister of the sachem of the eastern Niantic Ninigret. He had three children, of whom only his son Scuttop reached adulthood. There was another son named Quequaquenuit, who was baptized Gideon, and a daughter Quinimiquet.
After Mriksah, his great-cousin Canonchet took over as sachem.
