Miguel Szymanski (born 1966 in Faro/Portugal)[1] is a German-Portuguese journalist and writer.

In October 2023, Szymanski was awarded the French crime novel prize Violeta Negra at the Toulouse literary festival Polars du Sud for his novel Château de Carte. [2] and distinguished by the French newspaper Le Monde Diplomatique as the "Book of the Month" in August 2022.

In Portugal, he is since 2017 a TV commentator specialized in international politics for the public television RTP.
