Liz Pringle (April 15th 1929 - November 12th 2012) was born Isobel Ann Benn was born in Toronto and began modeling in Canada at the age of 14[1]. Aged 18 she traveled to New York and was one of the first models signed by Eileen Ford to the Ford model agency[1]. Her first job in New York was with the photographer Richard Avedon, who she worked with many times and became a close friend[1]. She was the cover model on many covers of prestigious fashion magazines including Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue[1].

She married John Pringle in 1948 and together they launched Round Hill hotel in Jamaica in 1952, which they sold in 1961.[1] At Round Hill John and Liz hosted many fashion and entertainment legends including Avedon, Adele Astaire, Bing Crosby, Clark Gable, Paul Newman, Alfred Hitchcock, Errol Flynn, Leonard Bernstein, Cole Porter,[1] and Jackie Kennedy on her honeymoon with JFK.
