Early life and college career
[edit]Ullmark lived in Japan for ten years while her father, William, was stationed there with the United States Marine Corps before moving to San Diego, California, and then Buffalo, New York.[1][3] She attended Nichols School in Buffalo, where she played on the soccer, lacrosse, basketball, and squash teams.[1] In her junior year in 2022, she scored 42 goals with 12 assists in 16 games and was named the New York Gatorade Player of the Year.[4] She played ECNL club soccer for the Western New York Flash.[1] She committed to North Carolina after being recruited by Damon Nahas over other offers including Harvard and Florida State.[3][5]
North Carolina Tar Heels
[edit]Ullmark was the only freshman to start all 27 games for the North Carolina Tar Heels in 2024.[1] She had a breakout performance against Virginia, scoring her first two college goals and assisting another in a 3–2 victory.[3][6] In the semifinals of the ACC tournament, she equalized from long range in a 2–1 win against close rivals Duke.[7] She notched three goals in the first three rounds of the NCAA tournament as North Carolina won their 23rd national title and first since 2012.[1][8] She finished her freshman season with 6 goals and 5 assists and was named to the ACC all-freshman team and TopDrawerSoccer Freshman Best XI first team.[1]
International career
[edit]Ullmark was called up to the United States youth national team at the under-17 level in 2023.[4] She played in a friendly for the under-19 team against Spain in 2024.[9]
