Kikoriki: Legend of the Golden Dragon is a 2016 Russian animated film, directed and written by Denis Chernov. The film serves as the sequel to Kikoriki: Team Invincible. The film follows after an machine named the Improverizer (an device that takes the personality traits from one person and swaps them with someone else's) switches Wally's body to an caterpillar, Krash and the Kikorikis of Kikoriki Island go an an adventure on an jungle, and switch Wally back to his normal self.

The film was theatrically released in Russia on March 17, 2016, and grossed $3.92 million (340,753,654.22 RUB) on a $15 million budget.[2] The film later got released to DVD in the United States on March 7, 2017, by Shout! Studios.[3] A sequel, Kikoriki: DejaVu, was released on April 26, 2018.

The lovably simple residents of Kikoriki Island are thrown kicking and screaming into big adventure when their resident scientist invents an amazing device which take personality traits from one person and swaps them with someone else's.

The film was released in Russia on March 17, 2016, by Universal Pictures.[4] The film was later released to DVD and digital on March 7, 2017 in the United States, by Shout! Studios.[3] In the United Kingdom, Signature Entertainment released the film on March 24, 2017 under the title, Super Furry Animals (not to be confused with the Welsh rock band of the same name).[5]

Reception

Renee Schonfeld of Common Sense Media rated the film four out of five stars, stating "Colorful, funny animal adventure with lots of cartoon peril."[6]
