Kevin Andrew L. Tan is a Filipino-Chinese entrepreneur currently the CEO and President of Alliance Global Group Inc. (AGI), a conglomerate with a foothold in real estate, food and beverage, and entertainment and hospitality sectors.[1][2]

Career

[edit]

Kevin's journey with AGI commenced in 2012 and has been transformative for the company.[2] His strategic vision has propelled them forward, marked by the successful launch of several mixed-use developments embodying a "live-work-play" ethos. These projects seamlessly integrate residential, commercial, and recreational spaces, setting new standards in urban living.[3]

Assuming the role of AGI's CEO in 2018, Kevin orchestrated the full acquisition of Newport World Resorts, previously Resorts World Manila, a major player in the Philippine casino industry.[4] This milestone acquisition saw AGI securing complete ownership by purchasing the remaining 40% stake from Genting Hong Kong, solidifying its position in the market.[5][6]

In June 2024, Kevin Tan assumed the presidency of AGI, ushering in an era focused on sustainability.[2]

At Emperador, for example, biogas waste generated from the distillation process is used to power the distillery. Meanwhile, Alliance Global as a whole has set a goal of becoming carbon neutral by the end of 2035, in an effort to mitigate the effects of climate change in the Philippines.[3]

Personal life and education

[edit]

Kevin Tan is the son of Andrew Tan, the founder of AGI. Kevin holds a Bachelor's Degree in Humanities from the University of Asia and the Pacific.[2]

In 2013, Kevin tied the knot with Michelle See in a ceremony held in Singapore.[7]
