James Burch Cooke (April 1, 1819 – April 18, 1899) was a justice of the Tennessee Supreme Court from 1885 to 1886.

appointed 1884 to fill vacancy occasioned by death of Robert McFarland; defeated 1886; born in Greenville, South Carolina; McMinn County representative in state legislature, 1853; district attorney general; colonel in Confederate Army.[1]
