Inventory Press is an independent imprint publishing books on topics in art, architecture, design,[1] and music, emphasizing subcultures, minor histories, and the sociopolitical aspects of material culture. Founded by Adam Michaels and Shannon Harvey[2] of IN-FO.CO in 2014, Inventory Press launched with the publication of a book of paintings by musician John Fahey.[3]
Notable recent titles include the complete annotated screenplay for the 2017 film Get Out (2019)[4] and the 2019 film Us (2024)[5] by Jordan Peele; Cyberfeminism Index (2023)[6] edited by Mindy Seu; A *New* Program for Graphic Design (2019)[7] by David Reinfurt; Milford Graves—A Mind-Body Deal[8] edited by Anthony Elms, Celeste DiNucci, and Mark Christman, celebrates the musician Milford Graves; The Detroit Printing Co-Op[9] designed by Danielle Aubert, and Seeing <—> Making | Room for Thought (2024)[10] by Susan Buck-Morss, Kevin McCaughey, and Adam Michaels; and Dimensions of Citizenship,[11] which was selected to represent the United States in the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale.[12]
