Harry B. Borders was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He earned his undergraduate degree in engineering from the University of Louisville before attending law school at the University of Kentucky. He graduated in the top ten percent of his class in 1991, marking the beginning of his legal career (Borders).

Harry Borders joined the family law firm, Borders & Borders, PLC, in 1991. The firm, originally founded by his father, J. David Borders, primarily focuses on real estate law. Harry specializes in real estate closings, the formation of limited liability companies and corporations, and IRS section 1031 tax-deferred exchanges. He is a recognized expert in his field and frequently instructs real estate law courses at the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors (KREIA).
Harry is a member of both the Louisville and Kentucky Bar Associations and is actively involved in the Kentucky Real Estate Investors Association (KREIA).
