Giovanny Alexander McKinley (Cúcuta, Norte de Santander; September 30, 1986) or known simply as Gio is a Colombian singer, actor, songwriter, model, physician and audiovisual producer. He is considered a revelation artist with international projection through the media. During 2020, he began production of his first album, which included his successful single “Mar y Aguardiente”[1] [2] . It was praised by the media as “The birth of a new concept in Colombia; a singer-songwriter from Norte de Santander, based in the United States, who is committed to making the world a better place with his music"[3][4]. The video of his first single debuted with more than 30k views on YouTube in the first week and was a single with excellent performance on important radio stations such as RCN and Olímpica Estereo, top radio stations in the city of Cúcuta. On December 15, 2023, Gio presented his long-awaited second single Loco (You Drive Me Crazy) with the North American artist Kode Blue. Praised for his artistic versatility, he has worked on his single El Mecánico and The Mechanic[5][6] with the multi Latin Grammy winner Boris Milan[7][8] who previously worked with Shakira for her single Chantaje (Salsa Version) ft. Maluma. Also, working on Gio’s album is the Dominican producer JH Beats known for hits with artists such as Arcángel, Cosculluela, Nicky Jam and many others.

Gio studied Arts at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, in Bogotá, from the beginning of 2004 to 2006, and was accepted in 2007 to the Medicine [9]program at Unisanitas where he completed all his professional studies. The Artist moved to the United States in 2018 where he began his artistic career.
