Elizabeth Ionescu is an American professional tennis player.
Early life
[edit]Ionescu was born in Pennsylvania to father Florin and mother Simona, both immigrants from Romania. Her father competed in the 3000-meter steeplechase event at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics and her mother was a member of the Romanian national track team. She began playing tennis at the age of three.[1][2]
Professional career
[edit]Ionescu made her professional debut in June 2023 after qualifying for the $25k Cheyenne Mountain Resort Women's Pro Tennis Classic in Colorado Springs.
