**Edvard Nikitovic** (born July 29, 1973) is a former Slovenian professional basketball player in various European leagues and Southeast Asia.

#### Early Life

Edvard Nikitovic was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, to Bojan and Jana Nikitovic. He developed an interest in basketball during his teenage years and began his formal basketball career at the age of 15 when he joined KD Slovan, a prominent basketball club in Slovenia.

#### Professional Career

Nikitovic's professional career took off in Slovenia, where he also played for KK Savinjski Hopsi and KK Postojna.

In France, Nikitovic played for BC Angers and later for BC Limoges.

In 1997, Nikitovic he joined BC Tong Whye in Singapore. During his tenure with BC Tong Whye, he won a third-place in the Southeast Asian basketball competition.

#### Retirement

Edvard Nikitovic's basketball career was unfortunately cut short in 2000 due to a serious knee injury.

#### Personal Life

Edvard Nikitovic is married to Katja Rovsek. The couple has two sons, Tilen and Jaka. Edvard is also a  grandfather to  grandson, Noah Kairo.
