Donald Louding (born April 9, 1984), better known by his stage name DJ Hollygrove, is an American DJ, radio personality, and Grammy nominated record producer. He is a founding member of The Chopstars in which he serves as President and a former on-air personality for KQBT 93.7 The Beat Houston. He is widely known for being the first first DJ to Chop and Screw The New Orleans born genre of Bounce Music^[1]. He was also was featured on Black Market with Michael K. Williams in which he served as a location producer^[2]. He is currently Vice President and mixshow director for Core DJ's Worldwide and is a mixer on Eminem’s radio station Shade 45 on SiriusXM. His song "Creep Up On Em" feat. Mista Cain was featured on in the Freeform series Cloak & Dagger^[3]

Biography

Hollygrove began DJing in 2003 after taking interest on a family member's turntables and stereo system in New Orleans. Later that year he moved to Houston were he was a member of Texas Southern University's Ocean of Soul Marching Band. He is a member of The Chopstars in 2009 after meeting OG Ron C in 2007. He has worked at various radio stations in Houston including KTSU, and KQBT before joining Shade 45 station on SiriusXM. In 2023 he was nominated for a Grammy alongside New Breed Brass Band for Regional Roots album.^[4]. On August 5, 2022 Hollygrove was award with the Certificate of Recognition from New Orleans mayor Latoya Cantrell, in July 2023 DJ Hollygrove was awarded a proclamation from the City Council^[5] and on August 13, 2023 he received the Key To The City alongside Edna Karr High School band director Christopher Herrero.
