Chester Whitmore (born November 30, 1955) is an American bandleader, choreographer, dancer, and teacher.[1][2][3][4][5]

Whitmore began dancing with the Nicholas Brothers in 1974 and has since danced in the U.S. and internationally. He has choreographed for Boyz II Men, Sugar Ray, and Teena Marie and worked with artists such as MC Hammer and Prince. Through his company Black Ballet Jazz, he has danced with the orchestras of Lionel Hampton, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Miles Davis.[6] He has also taught at Herräng Dance Camp.[6][7][8][9]
