The Business Travel Journalism Awards were established in 2004 to recognize outstanding individuals and editorial teams in business travel and meetings & events media across various categories who bring stories to life, through excellent journalism and striking prose. The awards have been hosted by CWT since inception, with additional annual sponsorship, and are judged by an invited panel representative of the breadth of the business travel and meetings & events industries.
Award categories have varied over the years, but there are 9 consistent categories:
Best New Journalist, Editor of the year, Editorial Team of the Year, Features Journalist of the Year (Accommodation), Features Journalist of the Year (Air), Features Journalist of the Year (Destination), Features Journalist of the Year (Ground transportation), Features Journalist of the Year (Industry trends), Features Journalist of the Year (Technology).
