Schofield was born on April 2, 1993 in Kirkby, near Liverpool, to actor Andrew Schofield and Angela Schofield.[1] In his hometown he attended All Saints Catholic High School. He gained his first experiences as an actor on various stages. He took part in plays by the Everyman Youth Theater. Even as a child he appeared in a short film and as an episode actor in a television series. He studied performing arts and musical theater at the City of Liverpool College.[1] In 2014, he appeared in two episodes of the television series Doctors in the role of Ed Walker. In the same year he played the role of Tobin in the film Black Sea. From 2017 to 2018 he played the role of Parsifal in the television series Knightfall. In 2018 he appeared in the film The Catcher Was a Spy as Bill Dalton. In 2021 he played the role of Jared in the horror film Don't Breathe 2.
