The battle of the horn valley occured in Horn valley (وادي القرن in arabic, Wadi Al-qarn) between the army of Emir melhem (emir of the maan dynasty) and the yemeni leader Ali alam al-din in 1653 after the ongoing conflict of who will lead the emirate, which ended in emir melhem's victory and the injury of ali alam al-din. After the battle, ali alam al-din fled to syria

Background: After the death of fakhreddine ii, tbe yemeni tribe took control of the emirate and placed ali alam al-din as the emir which led to alot of problems, after that, melhem took control of the emirate
Aftermath: After the battle and the victory of melhem, ali alam al-din was severely injured and had to flee to Damascus, thus escaping from melhem and getting treated
