Austeja is the first female Lithuanian cricketer playing in Ireland. She started playing in 2024 at the age of 14 years old. She began playing because her best friend Laragh Egan persuaded her.
She is an aggressive right handed batsman and bowls slow right arm, sometimes with some in-swing. She is very active in the field and has a good arm.
Austeja made her cricketing debut for the Junior B girls team in Mount Temple. She scored 6 runs on debut and bowled 1 over for 5 runs.
She hopes to inspire more young Lithuanian women in to taking up the sport in the future.
