- Comment: According to the "Terrabook" reference in the draft, Asterida is the current name and Asteris is the old name. Google maps, however, does use Asteris as the modern name. Homeric island is a description, not a name. AntientNestor (talk) 12:03, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
Asteris (Greek: Αστέρης), formaly also known as Asterdia (αστερδια),[1] is a small Greek island near Cephalonia and Ithaca island. It is also called Daskaleio or Mathitario.[1] In ancient times, the island was called Homeric Island.[2] The island has turquoise waters and it is green.[2] The island is in the Ionian Sea.[2]
