The Alien God Temple is a unique religious structure located within the Kailaya Shiva Temple complex in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. Constructed by Loganathan from the village of Mallamooppampatti, the temple is dedicated to an extraterrestrial being referred to as "Alien Siddar."[1][2][3][4][5][6]
History and Origins
[edit]Loganathan, the temple's creator, claims to have communicated with aliens who granted him permission to build the temple. According to Loganathan, these aliens have the power to protect humanity from natural disasters. The temple was consecrated on approximately three-quarters of an acre of land.[7][8][9][10][11][12]
Architecture and Design

The Alien God Temple houses a statue of the extraterrestrial deity, Alien Siddar. The temple complex also includes traditional idols of Hindu gods and goddesses such as Shiva, Parvati, Murugan, and Kali, located in a cellar 11 feet below ground. This blend of extraterrestrial and traditional religious elements makes the temple an architectural curiosity.[13][14][15][16]
Cultural Significance
[edit]Loganathan's claims and the temple itself have sparked considerable interest and debate. He believes that the aliens are not like those typically depicted in movies, and asserts that they possess the ability to avert natural disasters. Loganathan has also made the controversial and unscientific claim that wrapping a banana leaf around one's body can protect against radiation from aliens.
Public Reception
[edit]The Alien God Temple has become a local attraction, drawing large numbers of visitors daily. Its construction and Loganathan's statements have made it a topic of widespread discussion in Salem and beyond.
