Diego Basilio León Blanco (born 3 April 2007) is a Paraguayan professional footballer who plays as a left-back or left wing-back for Cerro Porteño.
Club career
[edit]León was born on 3 April 2007 in Colonia Yguazú, Paraguay. He is the son of Brígida Blanco.[1] León is left-footed and operates as a left back. As a youth player, he joined the academy of Cerro Porteño at under-14 level.
León started his senior career with them. He has been described as "one of the great promises of Paraguayan football".[2] He has received interest from clubs in the English Premier League. On 2 August 2024, León debuted for the club during a 1–0 win over Sportivo Ameliano, and he was the goalscorer.[3]
