Dalyboy Hyppolite (born July 29) known professionally by his stage name Dalyboy is a musician, movie director, actor,[1] and, record producer. He is the founder of True High Class Entertainment and Afro Caribbean Lounge.

Early life

Dalyboy was born Dalyboy Hyppolite on 29 July and is a native of Ihiala local government area in Anambra State, Nigeria, and the son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Hyppolite.[2][3] Dalyboy moved to Haiti at age eight where he grew up with his Cuban grandmother Soya Lalane. At 18 he joined the US Army and served for eight years.

Career

In an interview with Independent Nigeria[4] he revealed that he has certification in acting from Barbizon Modeling and Acting School. Dalyboy grew up playing musical instruments in church. In October 2023, his single, "No Money, No Love" appeared on the Apple Music Top 100 Chart.[5] In 2021, his single "Shake It On Gaad" was reported by Daily Times to have surpassed 1 million streams on Spotify[6], a significant milestone in his career. In September 2024, he released "Body Talk"[7] featuring Pardon C.

Awards

In 2015, his film Heart Breakers Revenge (Ex Games) featuring Van Vicker, Brittany Mayti, Billy Williams, Sarodj Bertin received 4 awards with 7 nominations at the MPAH Movie Awards. In 2015 he also received one nomination at the San Diego Black Film Festival, and in same 2015, he received 5 nominations at the Nollywood and African Film Critics Awards. He also won the Best Movie in Diaspora from the Red Feather Awards, in Yaoundé Cameroon.
